The Via Ferrata Hvar starts above steep vineyards of Sveta Nedjelja and end just below the highest island peak, the Sveti Nikola (626m).
Via Ferrata Hvar was created out of passion for climbing and love to the wonders of Hvar island by experienced climber and route creator Miroslav Stec and his team in the manner to make your experience pleasant and safe. Thanks to safety steel ropes and certified via ferrata set, you can experience majestic panorama and adrenaline rush just like a professional climber.
On your journey to the top you will be guided by a certified and experienced mountain guide.
The first section of Ferrata Hvar is vertical and accompanied with metal steps and safety cables. By the end of vertical section, halfway to the top, you can take a short brake and enjoy the panorama. At this stage you can go for an adrenaline walk over the 30 meter hanging bridge, which crosses over 80 meter high cliffs.
Next half of the Ferrata is mildly steep and also associated with metal cables on two shorter sections. The hike back is an easy hike via a hiking trail. The hiking trail avoids steep rocks from the west and passes by the chapel of “Gospa od Zdravlja”. The entire experience varies from 2 to 3 hours depending on physique of the group.
